For Cary Hart’s first Hart and Huntington Tattoo parlor here in Hawaii, this space evokes both a unique and vibrant atmosphere, as well as functions as a working parlor and retail selling space. Using materials such as glass, leather, concrete and stainless steel allows the functionality needed for employees, as well as creates a visual feast for clients and customers. Implementing innovative ideas such as using plexi glass embellished with enlarged ancient Polynesian tattoo designs lit from below gives the space an edge unique to Hart and Huntington alone.
